Jeremy Millard, Chief Policy Analyst, Centre for Business and Policy Analysis, Danish Technological Institute. Jeremy has forty years’ experience working with governments, regional development agencies, and the private and civil sectors in all parts of the world. In the last twenty years, he has focused increasingly on information society and knowledge economy consultancy, particularly in the use of new technical and organisational innovations in transforming government and the public sector, businesses especially SMEs, as well as civil society organisations and social entrepreneurs. Recent assignments include project manager for TEPSIE (The Theoretical, Empirical and Policy Foundations for Building Social Innovation in Europe), a FP7 research project for DG Research. He is also Danish partner on the Social Innovation Initiative for Europe for DG Enterprise. Recently, Jeremy supported the interim evaluation of the Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme between the European Commission and Member States, as well as providing expert support to the Member State Inclusive eGovernment working group developing alternative models to reach out to disadvantaged groups through innovations along the value chain, drawing in intermediaries and social entrepreneurs, etc. In the past he also worked extensively on eSkills, work organization and leadership, and organizational change. He is also working in the area of innovative public services for the United Nations and the OECD, as well as advising the World Bank and the Council of Europe on these issues.
