Berenike Ecker

Berenike ECKER, studied Geography at the University of Vienna and received her M.A. in 2006. For her master thesis she investigated the economic development of Western Ukraine since 2000. Afterwards she passed the post graduate study European studies at the University of Vienna. She gathered professional experience as co-ordinator in the network of regional management in Austria and as research co-ordinator in the university of Applied Sciences bfi Vienna. Since 2010 she is engaged at ZSI as research associate. She is mainly involved in the Co-ordination Unit of the Austrian Territorial Employment Pacts (www.pakte.at). In 2011 she was intensively concerned with the implementation of the project "SYN.AT”. Its main objective was the identification of synergy potentials between the European Social Fund (ESF), the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) in Austria.
